STARTUP Downtown Franklin is a partnership between the Downtown Franklin Association and Franklin-Southampton Economic Development, Inc. with funding provided by Wells Fargo, BB&T, Bronco Federal Credit Union and Farmers Bank.
The STARTUP Downtown Franklin program provides all of the training and tools needed to develop a business plan. Participants will pitch their business plans to a panel of judges for an opportunity to win a grand prize of $20k and runner up prize of $10k.
Insercorp has been highly involved with the Downtown Franklin Association (DFA) for over 7 years, providing website and digital marketing services through sponsorships to support our local community. Insercorp designed and developed DowntownFranklinVA.org and provides managed website services in addition to managing the Downtown Franklin Facebook page and Constant Contact email blasts which are used by the community as a resource for information about local businesses, events, and important news and announcements.
Last year Insercorp designed and developed an innovative and informative website as a sponsorship for the Downtown Franklin Association’s new “Shark Tank” style program. The Insercorp Development Team created a custom online application form to make applying convenient and efficient. The STARTUP Downtown Franklin Website features Google Material design patterns, a unique “scroll up” interface, and time-triggers to automatically update the “start point” of where the website loads based on progression of the event.
This year, the Insercorp Development Team updated the website for Round Two of STARTUP Downtown Franklin, continuing its sponsorship for the program’s second year. A “Past Winners” section was added beneath the “About” section to showcase the previous winners / grant recipients.
