The Eastern Shore of Virginia is seperated from the rest of the state by the Chesapeake Bay.  There are two counties located on the Eastern Shore, Northampton County and Accomac County.

The Accomack County Department of Public Safety is responsible for Emergency Management and Fire and Rescue services in Accomack County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Accomack County Department of Public Safety is located in Tasley, Virginia off of US Highway 13.

Wallops Research Park

Wallops Research Park is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Accomac.  Wallops Research Park is focused on commercial aerospace, applied earth science and educational offerings. Wallops Research Park's goal is to provide a long-term environment that attracts and maintains science, technology, and educational endeavors to supplement the core capabilities of Goddard Space Flight Center’s Wallops Flight Facility, other WFF Partners, and the Marine Science Consortium while contributing to the economic development of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and Maryland region.
