The city of Hampton is located on the southeastern end of the Virginia Peninsula of the Hampton Roads region.  Hampton is the sixth most populous city in Virginia and home to Fort Monroe, Langley Air Force Base, NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton University, and the Virginia Air and Space Center.
