Paul D. Camp Community College is a small two-year college, one of the 23 colleges in the Virginia Community College System located in Southeast, Virginia with three convenient campuses located in Franklin, Suffolk, and Smithfield. PDCCC offers a variety degrees, certificates, and programs to students interested in continuing education and advancing towards future careers. PDCCC even offers youth a way to get ahead at its' Regional Workforce Development  Center. Paul D. Camp affords students several opportunities to better their futures, some of which include the option of transferring to over 20 four-year colleges and universities in the state of Virginia.

The Paul D. Camp Community College Foundation is an organization, separate from the college itself, that is dedicated to the management and disbursement of monetary donations they receive for the improvement of the college. The PDCCC Foundation's main objective is to provide scholarships, funding for improvement of the college (including campus renovations, furniture, equipment, lab fees, etc.) and also educational programs that prepare students for employment post-graduation. The Foundation supports campus activities, special projects, academic and community enrichment programs, and is also dedicated to promoting the faculty and staff.

Peninsula READS provides English as a second language and reading tutuoring. Their adult literacy program consists of services necessary to meet the literacy needs of adults on the Peninsula. Services include Basic Literacy tutoring, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tutoring, computer instruction, volunteer tutor training, follow-up and support, and the development of additional specialized activities through collaborative efforts with other community organizations and businesses.

Personal Touch Home Care Services (PTHCS), founded in 1992, is a home health care provider that strives to make personal at-home care an attainable option for Southside Virginia and Tri-Cities residents. There are also various counties that PTHCS serves including: Brunswick, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Greensville, Isle of Wight, Prince George, Southampton, and Sussex. Personal Touch has four locations: Stony Creek, Waverly, Franklin, and Petersburg.
